Job Summary: The Project Coordinator will report directly to the Deputy Site Manager. This position is located at Thule AFB, Greenland. The Project Coordinator will manage and act as the single focal point for the installation, modification, relocation, or removal of all Communications, Computer, Command & Control (C4) systems. The Project Coordinator will provide a system for managing the C4 requirements and serves as the single point of contact for the processing of Communications-Computer System (C-CS) requirements using the Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS) system and ensures the maintenance of the master C-CS Installation Records library for contractor maintained C4 systems in conjunction with the owning work centers (CMOC/RADAR. MILSATCOM and Networks). Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to meet the changing needs of contract performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Creates and maintains project folders for all C4 programs/projects. Ensuring the project folders contain all historical information, photos, & drawings in support of the program or project being installed, modified or removed from service.
Provide a schedule of planned and future projects to the installation commander and site manager.
Provide project status reporting IAW the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Participate in project design reviews IAW the PWS.
Coordinates inspections and acceptance testing for all newly installed or modified C4 systems.
Reviews & coordinates C4 project support agreements with staff personnel and makes recommendations on concurrence to the appropriate local commander.
????????????????????? Coordinates with local supply elements (821 ABG, InDyne, etc.) on receipt and storing of C4 project materials, ensuring all testing is completed prior to system acceptance and ensuring the transfer of equipment and software accountability.
Ensures all implementation actions have been completed prior to system acceptance, processes applicable system acceptance documentation, and provides copies to all agencies involved.
Assists users with the requirements for submitting a CIPS requirement when required. Develops or obtains technical solution for those requirements approved for technical solution by the base Communications Systems Officer (CSO).
Maintains the master library for C-CS Installation Record drawings on file for Air Force owned, contractor maintained, fixed C4 systems.
Upon completion of a newly installed system or a modification to an existing C4 system, transfers the folder files with only pertinent information remaining to a permanent file location in the appropriate file area.
Participates in all base level board meetings that may have a C-CS requirement that needs to be identified, documented and implemented.
Acts as the sites Quality Assurance Representative reporting to the InDyne Quality Manager for all related activities.
Educational/Training Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Completion of civilian or Air Force equivalent training.
Minimum of four years of experience in office administration with demonstrated skills in the use of automated office products such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Required Skills/Experience:
Experience with Communications, Command & Control and Computer systems
Experience with Quality Assurance processes and procedures
Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
Supervision:
The Deputy Site Manager serves as the general supervisor for the Project Coordinator.
Work Environment:
Expected to be able to lift to 20 to 30 pound loads on occasion in a normal working office environment and may work extended hours on weekends and holidays. Travel throughout the Thule Defense area is routinely required. Rotation schedule will be 8 weeks on and 5 weeks off with possibility of adjustment. A 66-hour work week will be the norm.
Physical Demands:
Walking, siting, typing, bending and lifting items as required within position requirements.
Clearance Requirements:
Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance
