JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Manager, Shared Services works under limited supervision, reporting to the InDyne Human Resources Director, Corporate. Responsible for managing and training the Human Resources staff in the HR Office in the InDyne Shared Services Center which supports multiple contracts in multiple locations for InDyne and RT&T.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees recruiting, hiring, training, labor relations, performance management and benefits administration functions.
- Assists Human Resources Director in developing, implementing, and maintaining Human Resources policies and forms; recommends policy changes.
- Updates and advises senior management on employee relations issues.
- Keeps Human Resource professionals and corporate personnel as well as all InDyne and RT&T Management Team members, informed of relevant updates in laws and regulations.
- Directs and trains other Human Resources professionals on all human resources matters including employee relations, benefits, personnel law, union grievances, EEO and compensation issues.
- Conducts internal investigations, documents findings and recommends appropriate action to management.
- Reviews, posts and distributes Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and required notices to sites, reconciles and transmits 401(k) financial and census data to vendor and provides input for 401(k) nondiscrimination testing.
- Serves as 401(k) Plan Administrator and liaison with 401(k) Plan auditors.
- Works in cooperation with Human Resources Director to ensure regulatory compliance to include Affirmative Action Plans, EEO-1 reporting, Vets 4212 reporting, 1094/1095 reporting and maintenance of all required records.
- Oversees Workers Compensation and Leaves of Absence programs including participation in annual audits.
- Participates in new contract phase-ins and contract phase-outs.
- Conducts Human Resources training at new contract sites and/or with new Shared Services HR staff members, when appropriate.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, union negotiations and seminars as appropriate.
- Updates and maintains all position descriptions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or similar discipline and five (5) years of Human Resources experience.
- Ten (10) years of generalist experience in Human Resources, or a similar combination of education and experience.
- Government contracts experience preferred.
- Professional or Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR) certification preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Duties are normally performed in an office environment with some duties performed outside in the field.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Occasional travel and extended work hours may be required.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Extensive computer data entry.
