Industrial Controls Technician

Role and Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, operates, modifies, optimizes, and calibrates highly complex systems of electronics including DDC/PLC and pneumatic control front end devices as well as control components and sensors related to facilities HVAC systems.
  • Performs pretesting and operational (functional) testing, alignments, and/or calibration of highly complex pneumatic, electronic, and DDC/PLC systems including front end devices, components, and /or subassemblies.
  • Downloads and uploads programming to replacement devices/controllers/components
  • Performs preventative maintenance on electronic, pneumatic and DDC systems to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration.
  • Utilizes safety and security practices and procedures following established rules and regulations and maintains a safe, clean, and secure work environment.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and program electronic security systems such as Honeywell Vindicator IDS, ACS, VCC and various CCTV equipment.
  • Ensures all licensing and software updates are current.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years commercial/industrial experience is required.
  • Must demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities gained through training and/or experience to perform the duties described above.
  • Must have experience in Ethernet Network setup and configuration.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with Windows Server is required.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Must be a current US Citizen.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess or be capable of obtaining a secret clearance.
